New Year, Open Ears | Virginia Beach Child Photographer
Good Bye, forever, Two Thousand Fourteen.
HELLOOOO, Two Thousand Fifteen!!!
Do I really wish you a “happy” new year? Of course, but I wish you so much more than that. My heart wants you to have a receptive & intentional new year!
As I turn my back on 2014, I take all of my failures as lessons for improvement and all of my success as the Glory of God shining through me. With my eyes on the horizon of 2015, I want more than ever to have a receptive and intentionally active new year. I want to be more present, clear, receptive and active – not just letting things happen to me.
You’ll have to put on your crown of wisdom in order to understand what Im about to say – Allow the only thing that we “let happen” to us be God’s good and perfect will; Intentionally surrendering to His guidance toward truth and abundance. I hope (that means expect) that you and I live out 2015 with open eyes, open ears, an open heart and intentional actions.
Here’s what I have prayed for us: (a revised snippet from The Valley of Vision)
I launch my bark on the unknown waters of this year,
with the Father as my harbor,
the Son, at my helm,
the Holy Spirit, filling my sails.
Guide me to heaven with my loins girt,
my lamp burning,
my ear open to Your calls,
my heart full of Love,
my soul Free.
I don’t know if you need this prayer as much as I do. Who knows… your 2014 could have been the epitome of this. Consider it prayed for you, again.
Cheers to open ears, friends.
